A Monaghan Councillor says a number of people in the county have told him they are unwilling to take the covid-19 vaccine.
It comes as the latest HSE figures reveal Monaghan has the lowest uptake of the vaccine - 80.6% of eligible people in the county are fully vaccinated.
While Councillor David Maxwell refuses to engage with people who put forward anti-vaccine conspiracy theories, he says it's important to "address the fears" of those with underlying health conditions or pregnant women.

Councillor Maxwell added that Monaghan's vaccine uptake rate may be higher, as many people received their jab across the border.
Speaking on The Joe Finnegan Show, he encouraged everyone in the county to follow "the best medical advice and get vaccinated":
