A Monaghan councillor says retailers should be allowed to trade for longer upon the lifting of level 5 restrictions.
PJ O'Hanlon says 25 to 30% of turnover for many retailers comes in the six weeks before Christmas and it's "vital" that the Council support retailers in allowing them to trade for longer.
Councillor O'Hanlon added that anyone in business is under "serious pressure" and has called for a "common sense" approach to help them.
