People are being "left in limbo" because not enough funding was allocated to Monaghan for housing adaptations.
Local Councillor Seamus Coyle welcomed the announcement of €2.7 million for Cavan and Monaghan yesterday but says that's not enough to allow all works take place.
But he said around €4 million is needed in Monaghan alone to clear the waiting list.
He said he's disappointed that the funding has come so late in the year and says around 100 applications are essentially "left in limbo" as of June 15th.
