A local councillor says he's looking forward to a "modern and up-to-date" Primary Care Centre in Monaghan Town.
The HSE says construction of the Centre is due to begin later this month, having been hit with delays since it was first announced over a decade ago.
Sinn Féin's Sean Conlon said the works are "long overdue" and added that the former Blackwater House building on the Saint Davnet's campus is an "ideal location" for the centre.
