Monaghan business to be converted into apartments

Planning permission has been granted for a change of use of a commercial property to three apartments in Monaghan Town.

The works will see the first floor units on the Mall Road converted from business to residential properties.

This will allow for the construction of three one-bed apartments, with provision for four parking spaces to the rear.

There will also be thermal improvements to the existing walls and roofs, as well as a new first floor balcony.

The planning application noted that there is a "demand for smaller apartments in Monaghan" which is underpinned by this project.
