The launch of the County Monaghan Economic Appraisal took place at the Hillgrove Hotel last night.
The project is a joint initiative between Monaghan County Council and Enterprising Monaghan, which highlights a number of strategic advantages specific to Monaghan.
Speaking to Northern Sound, CEO of Enterprising Monaghan, Finbarr Daley said while there are many challenges ahead, it is important to take stock of the "vibrant" business sectors within the County.
When asked about the economic advantages of Monaghan, he said it is "ideally placed" between the Belfast and Dublin M1 economic corridor as well as the cost of industrial spaces being "considerably lower" than elsewhere.
He believes the locality of Monaghan is "very appealing" to international investors and highlighted the entrepreneurial talent which the county has produced over the years:
