A public consultation is currently underway in Monaghan for the county's Biodiversity Action Plan.
The aim of the consultation is to hear from local people and what needs to be done over the next five years when it comes to biodiversity in the county.
There are in person opportunities across the county to meet with Monaghan's Biodiversity officer, Patricia McCreesh. Dr McCreesh will be in Ballybay Library today between 2pm and 4pm and this evening in Carrickmacross Library from 5pm and 7pm.
Tomorrow in the Peace Campus between 2pm and 4pm, Clones Library on Wednesday from 1pm to 3pm and Castleblayney Library on Wednesday evening between 5pm and 7pm. There is also an online portal that has opened for people to participate online and have their say. Patricia McCreesh says biodiversity is alive and well in Monaghan but this plan is about achieving the very best and safeguarding biodiversity for the county.
