A Monaghan beekeeper says there is 'great satisfaction' when the first crop of honey comes to fruition.
Niall Hurson from Castleblaney told Northern Sound this week that the effort has the potential to move from being a hobby to a viable business that does make money.
Niall is a member of the Monaghan/Armagh Beekeepers Association.

He says that while beekeeping is a "great pastime", hard work does reap rewards.
And, those rewards, added Niall, come in the form of a crop of delicious honey, just waiting to be enjoyed.
