Muineacháin le Gaeilge, the Irish language organisation charged with promoting and developing the Irish language in County Monaghan has been recognised in the Glór na nGael national competition. Founded over 60 years ago, Clóír na nGael, is open to committees or community groups whose main goal is to promote the Irish language within the community. €400,000 in prizes was awarded between 2018 and 2023.
Grant-funded Muineachán le Gaeilge won a €1000 award for enhancing Irish medium education and fostering links between. Irish Language Officer for County Monaghan and Cavan County Councillor Stiofán Conaty received the prize from Ulster President of the GAA, and Gaelgoir, Jarlath Burns, at a ceremony in Croke Park.
