A Monaghan-based food processing facility hopes to ramp up production at its site following significant investment from Donegal entrepreneurs.
KFO Ventures, owned by marine entrepreneurs from Killybegs, has invested up to €30 million into food start-up 'Bio-marine Ingredients Ireland'.
BII has a state-of-the-art biorefinery in the Lough Egish Business Park in Castleblayney which produces protein ingredients for food manufactures in Asia.
The plant, the only one of its kind in Europe, is only operating at around 30% capacity and it's hoped the investment will see the plant at full capacity next year.
