Emyvale Cycling Club is celebrating the success of two of its members at a recent ultra-cycling challenge.
The Donegal Ultra is one of Ireland's most prestigious cycling events, with both five hundred and fifty five kilometre and three hundred and thirty three kilometre routes over the hills of Donegal.
Having taken the women's race and record on the 555 last year, Lorraine Mullarkey successfully took the 333 record last weekend and beat her personal aim of a sub 12-hour ride.
Michéal Flood represented the club in the men's 555 race and took a hard earned second overall.
Speaking at a homecoming celebration yesterday evening, he said he might return to try and go one better in the future.
