Para cyclist Katie-George Dunlevy and pilot Eve McCrystal have qualified for the gold medal race in the women's B three thousand metres individual pursuit.

Monaghan-based athlete and Garda has secured a medal in the Paralympic Games. Para cyclist Katie-George Dunlevy and pilot Eve McCrystal have qualified for the gold medal race in the women's B 3000 metres individual pursuit. Dunlevy and McCrystal's time of 3:20.481 was enough to place them second overall behind Britain's Sophie Unwin.

Monaghan athlete, Eve McCrystal, who is 46 years old, has participated in the Paralympic Games four times. She is originally from Dundalk and is a member of An Garda Síochána in Ballybay. They will return for the final at 1:40pm today.
