The hunt for a missing bird of prey in Monaghan has ended successfully.
A falcon named Stella, owned by the Northern Ireland School of Falconry went missing during the Monaghan Veteran and Vintage Show over the weekend. An appeal was launched by the owners for anyone who spotted the rare bird to get in contact. Stella was located by a woman in Castleshane who managed to catch her and hold her until John Carmichael, who runs the Falconry school, arrived.
In a post to Facebook, the Carmichaels said they were overwhelmed with the response received and have thanked the public for their assistance in finding the falcon.
