Minister of State at the Department of Transport, Jack Chambers was in Cavan and Monaghan yesterday.
The minister raised a range of transport and road safety issues with members of Cavan and Monaghan councils.
In both County Cavan and Monaghan the TD received a briefing on the council's non-national roads programme.
Minister Chambers also met with transport business owners in both counties.
He also met McArdle Skeath in Inniskeen in Co. Monaghan yesterday afternoon.
