Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys, made a series of announcements in support of remote working as she launched the first ever National Hub Summit in Athlone earlier this week.
The number of remote working facilities registered with Connectedhubs.ie is set to pass the 300 mark next week and every local authority outside of Dublin has been given a special budget to promote their county to remote workers and mobile talent.
The Minister said remote working has become an everyday reality for thousands of workers and businesses across Ireland.
She highlighted how there was a plan in place to develop a new national hub strategy and pilot scheme that would place businesses at its core.
Minister Humphreys added there was a lot being done by the Government to ensure remote working is central to the future development of Irish society and its economy.
