The Minister for Finance Paschal Donohoe has met with Cllr TP O'Reilly in Cavan this morning.
The discussion is one of a number of engagements the Minister is holding today as he meets with business and political representatives across Cavan and Monaghan to discuss Budget 2023.
Last week's Budget contained a package worth €11bn after the Government recorded a surplus of just under €1bn.
In addition, a further €300m in public service support measures funded from the Contingency Reserve Fund, was announced.
Minister Donohoe added that despite the challenges facing Ireland, he was confident that the Government would be in a position to continue to support individuals, families and businesses.
