Micheál Martin says he will lead Fianna Fáil into the next General Election.
It comes after a Fianna Fáil backbencher called on him to resign.
Carlow-Kilkenny TD John McGuinness blasted the party in a letter to members at the Think-In in Co Cavan last night, describing Fianna Fáil as an 'echo chamber' with 'entirely unrealistic' views.
He also said party legends would be 'rotating at speed' in their graves at Fianna Fáil's current state.
Deputy McGuinness said it's time for the current Taoiseach to step aside.
However, on this morning's Joe Finnegan Show, Mr Martin said his "obligation was to make sure this government lasts its full term":
