A Ballybay man has been elected President of the Fórsa trade union.
Michael Smyth was chosen to head up the 80,000 member strong organisation on Thursday.
He has served as a Senior Vice-President in the union for the past two
years.
Speaking to Shannonside Northern Sound after his election Michael Smyth said
workers are facing uncertainty as no public service pay agreement has been
reached with the Government.
