A weather warning for snow and ice has been extended to Cavan.
The warning was put in place by Met Éireann yesterday.
Drivers are urged to take care on the roads today as temperatures dropped across the region overnight and are expected to remain low throughout the day.

Met Éireann says up to 5 centimetres of snow could fall in parts of the east today.
A Status Yellow Warning for snow-ice is in place until 6pm tomorrow for Monaghan, Cavan, Louth, Meath, Westmeath, Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow.
