A Go Fund Me Page has been set up in memory of Gene McDonald and Daire Maguire.
Both men lost their lives after the car they were travelling in hit a wall during the sixth stage of the Sligo Rally last month.
Friends of 35-year- old Gene McDonald from Cootehill in Co Cavan and 46-year-old Daire Maguire from Lisnaskea in Co Fermanagh have set up the fundraiser in the past 24 hours.
They are set to climb Croagh Patrick on the 2nd of September in memory of the two men. Both men were "well known" and "very well liked" with their tragic deaths sending shockwaves right through the motor sport community and the region following their untimely deaths.
The organisers says this Memorial fundraiser has been created to lighten the burdened on Gene and Daire's families in this very difficult time. The go fund me page has a target of €20,000 but have already amassed over €12,000 so far.
