The family of a woman murdered in Aughnacloy 50 years ago say they believe her killer is still alive and may yet be brought to justice.
Several hundred people came out for an unveiling of a memorial stone to Marian Beattie over the weekend to mark the 50th year of her killing.
18 year old Marian Beattie was killed after leaving a charity dance at a quarry outside Aughnacloy on March 30th 1973.
She was seen leaving the event at around 1am in the company of a man but she was found dead in the early hours of the following morning at the bottom of a quarry. A murder investigation was launched but the person responsible has never been found.
The case recently featured in a cold case documentary.
Several years ago, a man was questioned by police about the case after presenting himself for interview at a PSNI station. But no one has ever been charged with the young women's killing.
