Members of the public have been invited to have their say on the Cavan Greenway project.
Cavan County Council has commenced the development of the project, which will connect the towns of Cavan, Ballyconnell, and Belturbet to the Ulster Canal and Cavan-Leitrim greenways currently under development.
The first public consultation takes place this afternoon in the Seven Horseshoes Hotel.
The Cavan Greenway Project is approximately 40 kilometres in length and will comprise of three corridors.
Cavan County Council has commenced the consideration of route options for the three corridors, which considers the use of the disused railway line, the Kingfisher Trail, and existing roads.
The first public consultation event to view the Study Area and to comment on the preliminary route options takes place this afternoon in the Seven Horseshoes Hotel, in Belturbet, between 2 and 8 pm.
Another public consultation event will take place next Tuesday, the 14th of June, between 2 and 8pm in the Hotel Kilmore, Cavan.
