The median price for a house in County Monaghan now stands at 195.000 and 199,000 in the county of Cavan. That's according to a report for Quarter one of 2023 by myhome.ie.
The report in association with Davy shows that the median price in Monaghan has risen by €15,000 compared with this time last year and prices in Cavan have risen by €10,000.
Asking prices for a 3-bed semi-detached house in the county rose by €12,500 over the quarter to €182,500. Meanwhile, the asking price for a 4-bed semi-detached house in Monaghan rose by €5,000 over the quarter to €230,000. This price is up by €30,000 compared to this time last year.
Asking prices for a 3-bed semi-detached house in the county of Cavan fell by €5,000 over the quarter to €180,000. Meanwhile, the asking price for a 4-bed semi-detached house in Cavan stayed flat over the quarter at €210,000. This price is up by €13,000 compared to this time last year.
There were 104 properties for sale in Monaghan at the end of Q1 2023 which was a decrease of 12% over the quarter. In Cavan there were 224 properties for sale in Cavan at the end of Q1 2023 a decrease of 20% over the quarter.
The average time for a property to go sale agreed after being placed up for sale now stands at just over Three and half months in Cavan and four and a half months in Monaghan.
