A man has been arrested over the discovery of €350,000 of suspected illegal cannabis plants and herbal cannabis in Castleblayney.
During the course of the search of a residence in the county Monaghan town yesterday, a grow house was discovered containing 57 cannabis plants, along with 13 vacuum bags of dried cannabis herb.
The operation was carried out by Monaghan Divisional Drugs Unit.
The drugs seized will now undergo further analysis with Forensic Science Ireland.
The man in his 20s who was arrested has since been charged and is expected to appear before a special sitting of Monaghan District Court at approximately 10.30am.
Gardai say investigations are ongoing.
