A man has been remanded in custody over the seizure of €350,000 of suspected illegal cannabis plants and herbal cannabis in Castleblayney.
The man in his 20s that was arrested in relation to this discovery will appear again next week before Monaghan District Court.
The discovery was made on Friday as part of ongoing investigations into the sale and distribution of drugs.
During the course of the search under warrant of a residence in Castleblayney, a growhouse was discovered containing 57 cannabis plants, along with 13 vacuum bags of dried cannabis herb.
The operation was carried out by Monaghan Divisional Drugs Unit.
The drugs seized will now undergo further analysis with Forensic Science Ireland.
