A man arrested as part of the investigation into the recent security alert
in Wattlebridge has been released.
The man, who's in his mid-40s, was arrested by Gardaí in Cavan on Thursday, as
part of a joint operation with the PSNI.
He was being questioned in Cavan Garda Station under Section 30 of the
Offences Against the State Act.
He was released without charge yesterday and a file will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
The Continuity IRA had claimed a landmine had been left at a bus shelter in
the area on the Cavan-Fermanagh border.
