A 24-year-old man who tragically died in Co Cavan has been named locally. Dylan Costin of No. 6 Diamond Court, Belturbet died following a fatal road traffic collision on the N3 outside of Cavan Town during the early hours of yesterday morning. The collision occurred shortly after 3am yesterday morning between a truck and a car at Drumcrauve in Co Cavan.
The late Mr Costin has since been described by those who knew him as a "sweet" and "sound young man" who was taken far too soon. A woman aged in her 20s, was taken to Cavan General Hospital for treatment of injuries which are believed to be non-life threatening.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward. Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
