A much loved and respected 81-year-old man that was killed in a collision close to Kingscourt on Tuesday evening will be laid to rest this Sunday.
Brendan Brennan of Spiddal in Nobber died when his van was in a collision with a car on the R162 Navan to Kingscourt Road. He will be reposing at Kieran Bros. Funeral Home, Hall Street, Kingscourt today from 4:30pm to 8pm. Funeral Mass Sunday at 11:15am in St John the Baptist Church, Nobber, with burial afterwards in the local cemetery.
Meanwhile, investigations into the collision are continuing. The two occupants of the car involved in the collision at around 5pm on Tuesday evening were both taken to hospital by ambulance to receive medical treatment.
The scene of the collision was preserved for a time to allow a technical examination and Gardaí are now appealing for witnesses to come forward. Any road users with camera footage (including dash-cam) who were travelling between Navan and Kingscourt on Tuesday evening is being asked to contact Navan Garda Station at 046 903 6100.
