Man in his 20s killed in Meath collision

A man has been killed in a road crash in Co. Meath, the second deadly crash in the county within a matter of hours.

The man - aged in his 20's - was the sole occupant of a car involved in the crash on the R161 Trim to Navan Rd at around 10 o'clock last night.

The R161 remains closed this morning. The scene has been preserved overnight, and local traffic diversions are in place pending examination this morning by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward
