A man found dead in a flat in Clones on Saturday night has been named locally.
The Irish Independent are reporting that Gardaí are expected to launch a murder investigation into the death of 46-year-old Mykola Dernovi.
It is understood that he is from the Ukraine and had been living in Ireland. It’s also understood that he was the victim of a sustained and vicious assault.
Gardaí say they are investigating all the circumstances surrounding this discovery and the results of a post-mortem will determine the course of the investigation.
