A man in his 40s has died after a shooting in the Thomand Road area of Ballyfermot in Dublin.
The victim was shot a number of times early this morning, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Gardai have notified the office of the State Pathologist and the area has been sealed off for a technical examination.

Officers at Ballyfermot station are appealing to anyone with information about the shooting to come forward.
