A man has been charged following the assault of a man in Belcoo at the weekend. Detectives investigating the alleged assault charged a 22-year-old with grievous bodily harm with intent, common assault, criminal damage, assault of police and disorderly behaviour.
A man was found in a premises on Main Street of the border town at around noon on Saturday with a cut above his eye and a part of his ear missing. He told police had had been assaulted by two men.
A 31-year-old man also arrested in connection with the investigation, has been released on bail to allow for further police enquiries. Anyone with information is asked to call PSNI in the area.
