Detectives in Cavan have seized a quantity of drugs, and cash.
On Sunday the Bailieborough Detective Branch, assisted by members from the Divisional Drugs Unit, and uniform members searched a house, under warrant, in Ballyjamesduff.
There they discovered a quantity of drugs worth approximately €20,000.
This included approximately €5,000 of suspected cocaine, €7,600 of suspected ecstasy tablets, €7,500 of suspected amphetamine and a small quantity of suspected cannabis herb and Zopiclone tablets.
All drugs will now be sent for analysis.
An undisclosed sum of cash was also seized along with various other suspected drug paraphernalia.
Two men, aged 37 and 40, were arrested at the scene and detained under the drug trafficking act at Bailieborough Garda Station.
One man was released without charge, pending a file to the D.P.P.
The man in his 40's was charged with offences under the Misuse of Drugs Act, and was taken to Ballyjamesduff Garda Station.
He appeared before Monaghan District Court yesterday at 10.30am and was remanded in custody
