Gardaí have arrested a man on suspicion of the murder of Marjana Pap.
Her body was found in a field in Curraghaleen, County Roscommon on Monday. Gardai say 58-year-old Marjana Pap was last seen alive in the early hours of Saturday the 28th of December.
On Monday her body was discovered about 10 kilometres outside the town of Athlone, on the border between Westmeath and Roscommon. Gardai launched a murder investigation following a post-mortem of her body.

This afternoon they’ve confirmed that a man, aged in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of Marjana Pap’s murder. He is currently being held at a Garda station in the Meath/Westmeath Division.
