A man has been arrested in connection to the capital murder of Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe in 2013.
The Kilnaleck native was killed outside Lordship Credit Union in county Louth during an armed robbery in January 2013.
A man in his 30s was arrested shortly after half past eight this morning in Dundalk by Gardaí investigating the capital murder.
He's currently being held for questioning in Dundalk Garda Station under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act.
Last year, 29 year old Aaron Brady of Monog Road in Crossmaglen, Co Armagh was convicted of capital murder.
He has been sentenced to life in prison to serve no less than 40 years.
Gardaí at the time welcomed the conviction but said the investigation was continuing as they believed other people were involved in the armed robbery.
