A man arrested in connection to an armed robbery at a Cavan post office last week has been released without charge.
On Thursday morning two masked men entered Stradone Post Office armed with what are believed to be handguns, and took a sum of cash.
A vehicle understood to be involved was found burned out shortly afterwards at Lisnageer, Cootehill.
On Friday, Gardaí detained a man in relation to the incident under Section 4 for the Criminal Justice Act.
He was released without charge the following day and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Investigations into the armed robbery are ongoing, and anyone with information or video footage is asked to contact Cavan Garda Station.
