A man has been arrested in the north in connection with the serious assault of another man in Monaghan Town in 2019. The 28-year-old was arrested by the PSNI in Armagh City, yesterday evening, July 4th.
He was detained on an Irish extradition warrant to appear before Laganside Court today. He is expected to stand trial for what the police are calling an alleged "serious assault" in Monaghan Town in April 2019.
Sergeant Davey from the International Policing Unit said the PSNI "continue to work closely with An Gareda Síochána to locate fugitives and bring them before the extradition courts."
