57 illegally imported puppies have been seized, and a man's been arrested, during an operation at Belfast Harbour targeting animal smuggling.
Golden retrievers, cockapoos, miniature terriers, cocker spaniels, and dachshunds were among the breeds recovered.
The PSNI believe they were smuggled across the border into the north, and were destined for buyers in England or Scotland.
