A man accused of an attempted abduction in a Carrickmacross supermarket will appear before the next sitting of Monaghan Circuit Court.
30-year-old Catalin Ianco, who had a previous address in Shercock but is now of no fixed abode was refused bail in Cloverhill District Court yesterday.
The alleged incident took place in Lidl last September, where it's said he approached an eight-year-old girl but let go after her mother grabbed her.
The charge is contested, with the defence solicitor saying it was "a practical joke that went horribly wrong".
His case will be now be heard at Monaghan Circuit Court in January.
