The majority of Level 5 restrictions look set to be extended until the middle of May.
Taoiseach Micheál Martin has said decisions on a limited re-opening will be made in the week before April 5th and last for 6 weeks.
The re-opening of home building, the lifting of the 5km travel rule and some small meet-ups outdoors are among the measures being considered for April.
That level of restriction is set to last until mid-May with Micheál Martin telling the Dáil the country can't let its guard down quickly.
The Taoiseach has warned Ireland can't let its guard down quickly, saying any easing of restrictions next month will be modest.
He's also said the changes made next month will stay in effect until mid-May.
Schools will have fully returned on April 12th.
And the other limited easing is based around home construction re-starting, lifting the 5km travel rule and allowing small meet ups outdoors.
The Taoiseach also suggested in the Dáil that the next stage of restrictions will last until mid-May.
Now the suggestion had been that a further review around things like retail re-opening would happen at the start of May. While the Taoiseach's comments didn't rule out other reviews having, it has raised questions about just how long most of the Level 5 restrictions will last.
