Major roadworks are underway in Monaghan town.
Resurfacing works began this week, with the North Road in the town closing overnight from tonight.

The road, which forms part of the N54 through the town, will close from 7pm to 7am from tonight until Friday.

Diversions will be in place along Plantation Road, with a contra flow system in place on Glaslough Street to allow traffic rejoin the N54.
