Andy's Rhubarb Gin Liquor has been awarded best gin in the country at the Blas na hÉireann Awards beating off competition from well known large Irish gin distilleries.
The local business brought home gold at the national awards, which was held in Dingle last Friday.
Following on from a Breast Feeding Business Friendly award in May, they also won the gin bar of the year for a second year in a row. Last weeks award means Andy's bar has now won three all-Ireland awards this year. The Blas na hÉireann awards attracts over 10,000 visitors annually, all the big retailers are present.

Kevin Redmond from Andy's bar says it's wonderful for a small pub in Monaghan town to come out on top is a major achievement.
