A thought-provoking art event incorporating several mediums with the border as its theme is taking place in Swanlinbar over this weekend. People living by or crossing the Cavan-Fermanagh border in recent weeks may have noticed a large neon sign with the words Anything to Declare emblazoned on it. The sign forms part of a series of art performances and installations, which, culminates with events running tonight and through to Friday evening.
Four artists including filmmaker Roisín Loughry from Manorhamilton, composer Andy Garbi, musician Rosh Connolly from Newtownbutler and dancer Dylan Quinn are exhibiting or performing in various locations in Swanlinbar for Anything to Declare. Dylan Quinn told Northern Sound Anything to Declare explores the border, its impact and the hidden potential of communities and landscape around it.
Anyone who attends the event over the next three evenings will have a fresh perspective on the border and Swanlinbar, the Fermanagh artist explained.
