A new report shows Leitrim has the lowest number of homes being built, while all local counties are close to the bottom of the table.
This report from GeoDirectory analyses the number of residential buildings under construction across the country in June.
Locally, Monaghan has the highest number at 410. However, this is the 10th lowest figure in the country.
It's followed by Cavan at 263 and Roscommon at 231.
Longford has 167 homes being built last month, the third lowest figure.
Leitrim had the smallest figure across the country according to the report, with just 72 homes under construction.
Construction across the Shannonside Northern Sound region accounts for 6.1 per cent of the country's total - equal to all of the homes under construction in Galway.
