Cavan and Monaghan have again recorded fewer than five new cases of Covid-19 each today.
The latest figures from the Department of Health show one additional Covid related death has been recorded in the Republic today. 270 new cases of Covid-19 have also been recorded.
103 are in Dublin, 34 in Limerick, 20 in Donegal, 12 in Cork, 9 in Kerry and 9 in Kilkenny, with the rest across 20 other counties.
The 14 days incidence rate per 100,000 of the population is now 161 - a 23 per cent reduction since last Wednesday.
The number of new cases in Cavan and Monaghan has been falling steadily over recent weeks.
Meanwhile, another 10 people have died with Covid-19 in Northern Ireland, and there are 471 new cases. Nine of the deaths were reported in the past 24 hours.
The total number of cases stands at 43,388, and the death toll has risen to 791.
There are 426 people in hospital with coronavirus in the North, with 55 in intensive care units.
