There was a "lovely atmosphere" in a Monaghan GP surgery after its first Covid booster clinic yesterday.
An early delivery meant around 85 over 80s were in Waterside Medical in Monaghan town to receive both a third Covid jab and if they wanted it, a flu shot.
The third vaccines will be given at least two months after a patient's second dose, and doctors will contact people as they become eligible.

It's expected that every GP will receive their delivery in the coming days.
Dr Aideen Brides says there was a similar excitement to when first doses were rolled out.
