Lisa Smith will go on trial this morning for alleged ISIS membership and financing terrorism.
The former soldier from Dundalk in Louth is accused of being a member of the terrorist group on dates between late October 2015 and December 1st 2019.
The 39 year-old is also accused of financing terrorism through an 800 euro Western Union transfer.

The trial, that is being heard before three judges of the non-jury Special Criminal Court, is expected to last 12 weeks.
