Ahead of voting tomorrow, a number of people across the Northern Sound region have raised their concerns over not receiving their polling cards in the post. Members of the public who have found themselves in this position are advised that brining a polling card to the count centre tomorrow is not a legal requirement and that all you need is photo ID.
There are a number of reasons as to why people have not received a polling card. One of which can be something as simple as a change in address which has not been updated. As a result, officials from both local authorities in Cavan and Monaghan have advised people not to worry. If there are concerns still out there, members of the public can contact officials at Monaghan County Council on 04730500 or Cavan County Council on 0494378300.
