Gardaí in Cavan have thanked motorists on the N3 who brought the erratic driving of another motorist to their attention yesterday.
The reports in Cavan came just a day after An Garda Síochána introduced an extension to its Traffic Watch system, which now allows people to report dangerous driving online. Following yesterday's reports, the erratic N3 driver was stopped and a roadside breath test resulted in a fail.
The driver was arrested and further tests completed at Cavan Garda Station proved the motorist were over the legal alcohol limit. The defendant has now been charged to Cavan District Court.
