Cavan County Council has developed a survey to help inform the Local Transport Plan for Cavan Town, which the council is preparing with the National Transport Authority.
The aim of this survey is to firstly understand how people currently move around Cavan, and what may encourage them to use more sustainable modes (i.e. walking, cycling, scooting, public transport) of transport in the future, if not already. Cavan County Council will use the results of this survey to help inform and shape the recommendations and proposals of the Cavan Local Transport Plan.
The Local Transport Plan also aims to improve connectivity and accessibility within Cavan, ensuring that the town centre and its environs are a vibrant, attractive, and sustainable place wherein to live, work, visit and invest.
Cavan County Council looks forward to continued public interest and participation during the remainder of the Plan making process. Once a Draft Local Transport Plan has been developed, Cavan County Council will publish it for another round of consultation to once again get public feedback on the draft proposals.
